Privacy Policy

1.1. To register on the Portal, you have to create a profile. Before registration you have to indicate your basic personal information, for example, name, surname, gender, date of birth, e-mail address, phone number. The telephone number is optional if you are invited to join the Portal by an existing Portal user.

1.2. After creating a profile you are allowed to indicate additional information, for example, insert a profile image, description about you, your workplace, relationship status and other information.

1.3. We process information about the contents you publish and share (for example, your created galleries, news, travel descriptions), as well as information about you shared by others (for example, any other user has posted your image in his/her profile, indicated your profile next to any image, sent a message to you, synchronized or posted your contact information).

1.4. We process information concerning what users you approve as friends and communicate with, what interest groups you follow, what games and apps you use.

1.5. We receive information about devices you are using to access the Portal (for example, device type, operating system, web browser, mobile communications operator, IP address, device location, connection time and duration).

1.6. If you make any payments to us for the services available on the Portal (for example, for games, statistics, donations), we process the information related to such transactions.

1.7. We receive information from and about third-party websites and mobile apps you visit, when these third parties are using our services (for example, authorisation with Draugiem.lv login or when you republish contents of third parties on the Portal).

1.8. We may receive information about you from third parties, for example, when we develop joint cooperation projects, or from advertisers who want to place or personalize their advertisement on the Portal.

1.9. We are using cookies, so we recommend to become acquainted with our Cookies Conditions.

We process your personal data and other information to:
2.1. ensure the possibility to you to receive the services provided on the Portal (for example, to post contents, contact other users, play games);

2.2. maintain and improve our services, and develop new ones;

2.3. offer and personalize advertisements, and assess advertisement efficiency;

2.4. verify identity and prevent illegal use of profiles, and ensure safe Portal environment;

2.5. protect your interests and interests of other users (for example, if the Portal is used for illegal action);

2.6. give answers to you and contact you on issues of your interest, or inform you about changes to the conditions.

3.1. The data given in your profile (for example, name and surname, place of residence, profile image) and the contents posted in the profile (for example, posted and shared images, activities, friends) are publicly available to all other Portal users, as well as to third parties to limited extent (observing the option on your profile to choose limitation of access of separate data and contents).

3.2. The data saved on your profile include contents posted by you, contents posted by other users and shared by you, as well as information about activities on your profile (for example, what “Pages” you follow and what games you play).

3.3. The search option is offered on the Portal, for example, for searching users, companies and events, based on the information indicated in the profile. Users can view the data and contents posted in profiles of other users. By using the “Statistics” service, a user can see, what other users have viewed his/her profile, galleries. Users have an option to indicate other users in images and in their profiles in the section “Talk”.

3.4. The contents you publish in your profile, can be viewed on a computer and via the mobile app (for example, on smartphones, tablets etc.); therefore, such contents (for example, profile image, galleries etc.) can be saved on the said devices, using the options offered by the Portal, web browsers or devices. Therefore, post and share only such contents, you want other users to see.

3.5. When you are using Draugiem.lv login option to post contents (for example, post images, write contents or blogs) or implement any other activities (for example, participate in surveys, apply for events, share contents) on third-person websites or mobile apps, your profile data (for example, name, surname, profile image) can be viewed by persons who are not registered Portal users.

3.6. If you follow “Pages” of third parties (companies, business, events, municipalities etc.) on the Portal, the notification on such following and the information indicated in the user profile (for example, name, surname, profile image) may be shown to other registered users also on websites of these third parties, which are not related to the Portal.

3.7. We offer the Draugiem.lv authorisation service to third parties that are not related to us, so that users could have more convenient and simpler authorisation on websites and mobile apps of these third parties. The authorisation data of users are not transferred to maintainers of websites and mobile apps of these third parties in any way; however, maintainers of these websites and mobile apps can see the public information indicated in the user profile.

3.8. We may use services of other companies, and such services are subject to their terms of service and privacy policy, which you agree to be bound if you are a user of the Portal. For example, we use YouTube, including the YouTube API Services (Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy).

4.1. We can process non-personalized information (for example, about the number of Portal users, efficiency of advertisements).

4.2. Your data can be transferred to third parties, when you are using services of these third parties (for example, game developers or websites, where Draugiem.lv authorisation is used).

4.3. Your data can be also transferred to third parties we cooperate with and which provide their services to us, so that we could ensure and improve the Portal functioning (for example, data placement and maintenance, data and portal safety, payment processing, risk and fraud prevention and detection, data analysis, SMS and e-mail distribution, legal and financial services). The data can be transferred to these third parties only at minimum and required extent for us to be able to provide our services; in addition, the data my be transferred only if these third parties have assumed the respective confidentiality obligations.

4.4. In some cases, for achieving the objectives stated in these conditions, we can transfer your personal data to our partners in third countries, which ensure sufficient level of data protection or by imposing appropriate guarantees.

4.5. Third-party advertisements, including interactive advertising (for example, through games etc.) can be placed on the Portal and displayed or sent to you. We never disclose to advertisers any information on users and their personal data; however, advertisers may be entitled to define the advertisement audience (for example, according user's gender, age, location, contact information etc.).

4.6. We can disclose your personal data in the cases and pursuant to the procedures stipulated by regulatory enactments (for example, to respond to a request by a court or competent authority, or to report on illegal action).

4.7. Your personal data can be transferred to other persons or processed in other cases only upon your consent.

4.8. Provision of personal data is a precondition for creating a profile and receiving our services.

5.1. You are entitled to choose the level of your profile privacy and adjust it respectively (in the section “My profile”). You are allowed to add, amend or delete the data, contents and information in your profile, and to delete the entire profile.

5.2. Take into account, that the Portal is accessible to other users; therefore, the posted contents, images, videos and any other information will be visible to other persons.

5.3. We store and process your data as long as your profile is not deleted. After deletion of profile, personal data may be processed, if it is stipulated or required by regulatory enactments.

5.4. You are entitled to deactivate or delete your profile at any moment. If the profile is deleted, the information and contents posted by you will be deleted; however, a part of information may be preserved, because it is not linked to your profile (for example, sent messages, comments and blogs on other websites, if you have used Draugiem.lv authorisation).

5.4. After deletion of the profile, data and/or information, it will immediately become invisible to other users, but the deleted profile, data and/or information may be saved in our databases for up to 90 days from the moment of their deletion to prevent fraudulent activities and other illegal action.

5.5. You are allowed to download the information related to your profile, making a data copy request in the section “My profile”.

5.6. You are entitled to submit a complaint concerning processing of your personal data at the supervisory authority.

The Portal is accessible for users starting from 13 years of age. If you have not reached the age of 13, you can create your profile only upon consent of your parent or legal guardian.

We reserve the right to amend these conditions from time to time. Any amendments to these conditions will be published on the Portal, and in the case of significant changes we will inform you.
