The words of an ancient Lithuanian, ritualistic game resound in this song. Symbolically they sing about the crossover a person makes from this world to the afterlife. Pre-Christian Lithuanians (and Balts in general) did not bury their own people by their settlements but rather at an opposite side of a river, a lake or a hill.
