Bio
Phoenix (Dmitry Matiuhin) is Lithuanian beat maker and MC (lyrics written in Russian language) started to write rhymes in 1997 when he was 10 years old. At that time he had a project (whit MC Keeper) called "Prizraki" (Ghosts) which collapsed in 2004. From 2003 to 2005 Phoenix was a member of grand rap project "M.I.R.A.Zh Squad" (8 MCs).
Note: Even if now "Mirazh Squad" remains in silence members are doing their things separately.
After work with "Mirazh Squad" Dmitry decided to continue work alone and "Phoenix Production" (as a sign) first time appeared in 2006 when Phoenix released his first promo LP called "Nachialo" (The Beginning).
After few years (2008) of recording Phoenix released debut album "Monologas" (Monologue) of his friend and Lithuanian MC Coras. This album was co-produced with Lithuanian composer Corbie and release was supported by indie Lithuanian label Miestomuzika.lt
Now next step is done - in the end of 2009 Phoenix completed his own debut album "Obereg" (Amulet) and start working on a new project called "Shpil sviatogo Kazimira" (The Spire of Saint Kazimir) whit two russian MCs Rusy and Amiko. In May of 2011 rap trio released their first EP "Takseberap" and working on a new music stuff.
Besides these main projects Phoenix worked with full clip of Lithuania Hip Hop artists as: Svaras (G&G Sindikatas), Projekt Undersky, Vaiper (Despotin Fam), Epicentr, Fryk, Razum, Contrast and more.
