IR are back with their brand new critically acclaimed album "BELIEVE"!
For a band who's mission has always been to accent the music they create, IR latest release is no exception. As a conceptual album, their ideas and music are a deep part of the new release - even the name bears a concept hidden in it! On all accounts, musically this new album is a large step forward. With clever and irresistible vocal lines, pummelling while precise drumming, grand and catchy guitar riffs, and powerful yet melodic bass, "Believe" has more to offer than a simple rock album. For being a trio, they have brought their huge live sound they are known for to the new record, while one of the biggest improvements the band has seen is in the substance of the lyrics - singer/guitarist and main songwriter Germanas Skoris has drawn deeper, and gone more socially minded on this album. The band also connected all of the elements into one great package without being overly eccentric. "Believe" received rave reviews, while their fans crowned IR with the Best Rock Band and Best Overall Album of 2010 on independent online music journal sharkeen.lt, beating out even top Lithuanian pop performers.
7 years after their start in 2003 in Vilnius, Lithuania, the band has stayed very busy. Two full length albums - "Now Or Never" (2005) and "Believe" (2010), an EP "EP_graph" (2008) and a stylistically different acoustic live record "Minimalistic Live" (2009) - is a good example of how creative and productive the band is. Not forgetting a few music videos, especially "Snake Pit" which received airplay and held hart positions in two charts for 9 weeks on Baltic MTV. The result - IR gained recognition in the Lithuanian alternative scene and won many awards including Best Rock Act (2005 and 2008), Best Music Video (2008) at the A.LT, the Lithuanian music awards.
During all of these achievements and accolades, the band has been doing what they are blessed with - touring fiercely. Their tour geography extends from Lithuania to Finland, from Poland to the Netherlands, and from Germany to England making them one of the most giging rock bands from Lithuania. IR stands out from many of its kind because they believe in what they do - they grab your heart and soul with their sincere, emotional but "in your face" music.
