Artificial Home was formed in Riga around 2008. Since then it has gone through several changes in line-up but has managed to preserve its artistic direction, remaining a band whose style is not easy to classify. While mainly borrowing from alternative pop/rock genres, their music also contains influences of trip-hop, prog-rock and a few others, all of which are fused together with expressive female vocals. Songs are varied in style and while mostly simple in structure reflect the different musical interests of the band-members. Despite this somewhat eclectic musical style and contrasting personas of these musicians, the band remains active and eager to create new material, perform live and generally move forward.
